Erythristic het Albino Eastern Garter

The erythristic form of the eastern garter snake is a polygenetic trait that increass the amount of red pigment displayed on the animal.  Most bloodlines in the hobby originate from the Carolinas and western Florida.  Expression can vary from a light orange hue to fire engine red.  Most babies are born without much coloration at all, and develop most of it within two years of age!
